Happy New Year!

We made it through to 2021! Thank you everyone for your loyalty and persistence in 2020. Somehow we survived the year together, and now we’re ready to go on into 2021, singing and growing together.

Fundraising 2020

In case you missed it, our concert and busking at the end of the year raised $25,200 in Auckland and a further $200 from their first-ever busking by the Tauranga choir! An amazing effort all round, and more needed than ever by those who have been hit hardest by the losses of 2020.

Exciting news - new Everybody Sings choirs!

Although we lost members last year for all sorts of very reasonable reasons, our Everybody Sings is set to grow this year. Not only do we hope to welcome back many of our past members, but we have three - yes, 3! - choirs joining us.

Everybody Sings Pohutukawa Coast, based in Maraetai, have been around a long time but will become an Everybody Sings choir from this year. Their new choir leader is Rebecca Star, a long-term Stonefields member and PC local. (Tuesday nights)

Everybody Sings Pt Chevalier were part of Max Maxwell’s Sing for Joy group, and are joining us from February 2021. (Wednesday nights)

Everybody Sings Devonport were also part of Sing for Joy, but known as Village Song. They are also joining us from February 2021 and will be led by Helene Piper. (Thursday nights).

You can read more about all three of these choirs in the Our Choirs section of the website. We look forward to welcoming existing and new members, and can hardly wait for our first big joint sing together!

Your 2021 website pages

Over the next couple of weeks, you will see your individual website pages for 2020 disappear. They will gradually be replaced by the pages for 2021, with new music. These will all be protected with a new password which you’ll receive as soon as you’ve paid your Term 1 2021 fees.

Term start dates are all on the choir pages in the Our Choirs section of the website.

We look forward to starting a whole new year with you very soon!

Arohanui from Mel, Kate, Paul and Graeme (Everybody Sings Directors).
